At WISEcode, we're a well-funded, dynamic startup on a mission to transform how the world understands food. WISEcode makes personalized nutrition a reality based on facts — what truly is in our food — and marries this data with your preferences. Driven by AI and the world’s most advanced food and nutrition database, WISEcode embraces the truth that we are all different: different needs, objectives, biology, and preferences. No one should be at the mercy of market spin or “expert” opinion. Everyone deserves the clarity required to make the best decisions for themselves. We are building what does not yet exist: a platform that codifies food transparency, decodes ingredients, and exposes the hidden realities of packaged food. Our products combine deep data engineering, modern AI, and powerful user experiences to bring transparency to millions of consumers.

    The Opportunity

WISEcode doesn’t hire for incremental impact — we hire for forcemultipliers. Our Principal Engineers are restless builders who transform complexity into clarity, elevate every team they touch, and create architecture that accelerates the entire company. These are strategic technologists who see systems where others see fragments, who bring long-term thinking into every decision, and who translate bold ideas into elegant, scalable solutions.

    About the Role

The Principal Engineer (PE) is WISEcode’s highest-impact individual-contributor role — a technical leader who combines deep hands-on engineering with architectural ownership across major parts of the platform. PEs write excellent code, but also define system boundaries, long-term technical direction, and engineering standards that influence the entire organization.

A WISEcode PE is both strategist and builder. You will:

    ● Translate product ideas, data models, and company vision into durable architectures.

    ● Jumpstart high-complexity features or systems end-to-end and hand them off once patterns are established.

    ● Guide teams through decisions on reliability, performance, schema evolution, observability, AI integration, and scale.

    ● Influence without authority — shaping engineering culture, mentoring senior engineers, and raising the organizational bar.

PEs at WISEcode operate as a flexible, high-impact bench. You may embed temporarily into a product team to help them accelerate a difficult initiative, unblock architectural issues, or deliver a full-stack vertical slice (UI → API → DB/Lakehouse → infrastructure). You’ll then step out, leaving behind a coherent design, patterns the team can extend, and clearer technical direction than before.

Because of their breadth, PEs typically work closely with the CTO and maintain visibility across products, data systems, and infrastructure. Your success is measured not by a single team’s velocity, but by the health, performance, and agility of the entire WISEcode ecosystem.

How Principal Engineers Operate at WISEcode

Systems thinkers with depth. PEs bring T-shaped skills: deep expertise in multiple domains (e.g., .NET architecture, Postgres/Lakehouse design, distributed systems, AI integration) and broad understanding across UX, product strategy, data modeling, cloud infrastructure, and developer experience.

Architects who execute. You can design a new ingestion pipeline, tune a Postgres query plan, implement a Blazor UI, and architect a multi-service feature — and know how these pieces must evolve over time.

Product-savvy technologists. PEs help shape product direction, not just implement requirements. You anticipate what’s possible, clarify ambiguity, and often write the first version of a spec when needed.

Pragmatic long-term thinkers. You balance delivery speed with architectural integrity. You know where to take shortcuts — and where not to.

Multipliers. You leave teams stronger: cleaner abstractions, clearer documentation, higher engineering maturity, and faster future delivery.

    AI Skills & Leadership

WISEcode is an AI-native company. Every engineer is expected to use AI well, but PEs set the tone. You’ll:

    ● Integrate LLMs and ML components into product workflows where appropriate.

    ● Understand model behavior enough to guide data quality, explainability, and responsible use.

    ● Use AI-assisted development to accelerate your own work and teach others how to do the same.

    ● Advocate for intelligent, data-driven design across ingestion, features, and UX.

AI is not a bolt-on at WISEcode — it is a horizontal capability. PEs ensure it is thoughtfully embedded in the architecture and product surface area.

    Key Responsibilities

    ● Own architecture for major systems across backend, database/lakehouse, and application layers.

    ● Lead solution design for high-complexity initiatives and deliver production-ready implementations when needed.

    ● Define patterns, abstractions, and technical standards that increase velocity and consistency.

    ● Unblock teams by diagnosing issues across full-stack boundaries (Blazor → API → Postgres → data pipelines).

    ● Guide schema evolution, performance optimization, reliability engineering, and security considerations.

    ● Mentor senior engineers and elevate engineering culture through clarity, documentation, and example.

    ● Partner closely with product, design, CTO, data, and AI/ML teams to shape roadmap and feasibility.

    ● Apply AI/ML concepts to improve automation, personalization, data quality, and developer experience.

    Required Qualifications

    ● BSCS or equivalent engineering degree

    ● 12+ years of strong professional development experience

    ● Extensive hands-on full-stack engineering experience with .NET and ASP.NET

    ● Strong ASP.NET Blazor UI experience and genuine enthusiasm for front-end craftsmanship

    ● Deep expertise with Postgres, database performance tuning, schema design, and ORMs (especially EF Core)

    ● Proven ability to design, scale, and evolve enterprise-grade systems and distributed architectures

    ● Track record of technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-team influence

    ● Ability to operate independently, set direction, and drive execution in ambiguous contexts

    ● Broad systems thinking with depth in multiple technical domains

    ● Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and ability to apply them responsibly in product development

    ● Startup mindset — adaptability, urgency, pragmatism, and comfort shifting between strategy and hands-on execution

    Why Join WISEcode

    ● Build foundational systems for one of the most ambitious food-tech and AI platforms in the world.

    ● Work directly with the founder and CTO in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

    ● Shape the architecture, culture, and impact of a category-defining company.

    ● Competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for rapid growth and leadership.

      About Maven

Maven is reinventing our post-secondary education system from the ground up. We're starting with practical, professional courses on key skills taught by leading experts in your field. Think: learning AI Product Management from a head of product at OpenAI or an engineering lead at Meta. Our cohort-based model means our engagement rates are 80-90% instead of the 5-10% from video-based learning. Maven's marketplace has 500+ expert-led cohort-based courses, 70K+ student alumni, and 700K+ registered users. Today, we're direct to consumer but eventually we'll offer certificate programs, MBA-like programs, and sell directly to businesses.

We are founder-led; our CEO, Gagan, co-founded Udemy, and our CTO, Shreyans, was the first engineer at Venmo. Our business grew over 100% last year and is on track for profitability. We've raised $25 million from Andreessen Horowitz, First Round, and an incredible roster of angel investors.

      Role details

We’re looking for a Product leader to help take our marketplace to the next level. This is ideal for a mid-career PM who wants to accelerate an already growing company.

We have a solid foundation, but have barely tapped the broader market of professional learners. We believe improving the core product experience (specifically course creation, conversion, and satisfaction) will unlock further growth.

There’s a lot of unexplored green space and you’ll help us scope opportunities, define the roadmap, and learn from what’s working. Questions you might explore:

      • How do we help instructors confidently launch their course through our onboarding?
      • How do we communicate value and credibility through the course landing page?
      • How do we deliver transformative learning through the course tooling?

We seek exceptional individuals around the world, set them up to do the best work of their lives, and in turn, create a meaningful impact in their own lives. We don't track hours, but we do manage for high expectations very closely. We collaborate across time zones, are highly async, and like to document a lot.

This is a hybrid Finance & Data role reporting to the FP&A lead. As Circle scales to $100M+ ARR, we’re investing in a dedicated bridge between Finance and Data to unify our financial data stack and enable faster, more automated decision-making. Initially, we expect this role to be more heavily weighted to data modeling and engineering (70%) than analysis (30%), but as we build out the Finance data stack, we expect the role to transition.

      About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to architect and scale Sully.ai’s platform-level agentic AI systems within our Engineering Research team. This role combines full-stack engineering excellence with deep expertise in LLM-powered experiences. You’ll design, implement, and optimize core components across frontend, backend, and model integrations, while driving engineering direction in close collaboration with our co-founders. Your work will directly shape the reliability, speed, and cohesion of Sully.ai’s multi-agent ecosystem.

      What You'll Do:

      • Architect and implement cross-agent systems that power core Sully.ai experiences.

      • Build and scale full-stack product components using TypeScript/React and Python services.

      • Integrate LLMs into production workflows with strong contracts, observability, and test coverage.

      • Develop shared UI components and typed SDKs to unify cross-agent experiences.

      • Lead engineering direction, collaborating with founders and cross-functional stakeholders.

      What You Must Bring:

      • Staff/Principal-level full-stack experience in React, TypeScript, and Node.

      • Proven ability to design, ship, and scale LLM-powered applications.

      • Expertise in API design, streaming, and CI/CD pipelines.

      • Strong cloud infrastructure background (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

      • Track record of building reliable systems with measurable performance and error budgets.

      Nice-to-Have

      • Experience with WebRTC or audio-aware UI design.

      • Hands-on work with agentic AI frameworks.

      • History of creating design tokens, SDKs, or cross-agent platforms.

      First-Month Focus

      • Audit current cross-agent flows for UI/UX cohesion.

      • Implement shared components and typed contracts for reliability.

      • Establish instrumentation for frontend performance and model round-trip tracing.

      Success OKRs (90 Days)

      • Deliver end-to-end tested, production-grade agentic workflows with <5% error rates.

      • Launch cross-agent design system and SDK used by at least 2 internal teams.

      • Establish weekly “deploy and measure” cadence with performance metrics and error budgets.

If you’ve ever said, “I want to do work that actually matters”, this is it. Let’s build something life-changing, together.

      Who Thrives Here

      • Entrepreneurial to your core: You think in outcomes, thrive in chaos, and take ownership without limits

      • Mission-obsessed: You’re here to save lives, not just ship features — patients and doctors are your why.

      • Impact-driven & fast-moving: You sprint toward hard problems and ship with sharp judgment.

      • Elite teammate: You raise the bar through high standards, direct feedback, and craft excellence.
